I have a number of acquaintances and friends that emigrated to mezsko. They seemed to be living idyllic lives. Called a few, with which I have been close for a long time, and they are fine. No problems. However, as I told one of them (absolutely gorgeous lady a few decades past) you never find it dangerous until it’s too late.
In Acapulco some of the resorts there are guarded by men w/semi-automatic rifles w/30 round clips.
I wouldn’t go down to Ensenada now for anything, much less a vacation.
There have been people pulled over by la policia and robbed of all their money in Mexico.
If I want to be robbed at gunpoint all I have to do is go to East LA or Boyle Heights and at least then I can guarantee the money so robbed stays in the USA!
