Dr. David Wurmser: How Trump’s Iran Deal Just Blew Up In His Face
-
Wurmser views agreement as a temporary 60-day pause, not a permanent solution.
-
The deal reportedly leaves out major issues such as Iran’s missile program, proxy networks, human rights abuses, and Hezbollah’s military presence in Lebanon.
-
Iran may be allowed to retain some nuclear capabilities and could eventually gain access to significant reconstruction funding.
-
Iran has a long history of exploiting loopholes and is unlikely to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
-
US gave up important leverage by easing pressure before securing major concessions.
-
Lebanon is the most likely issue to cause the agreement to collapse.
-
Iran is driven by ideology rather than economic self-interest and will be willing to absorb severe costs to pursue its goals without regard for pain caused on its citizens.
-
Iran does not see itself as defeated and believes it can outlast Western resolve.
-
Wurmser criticizes modern Western strategy for focusing on conflict management and negotiation rather than decisive victory.
-
He expects the negotiations to fail and predicts the underlying disputes will reemerge.
-
Israel should avoid a confrontation with Washington for now but remain firm on its right to act against threats in Lebanon.
-
Wurmser’s overall conclusion is that the agreement postpones the conflict rather than resolves it.
I’m amazed a Cuomo had an Israeli official on his show. I don’t think this would ever have happened on The Crescent/Communist News Network unless it was to be a hostile interview (kinda like the hatchet job on Aayan Hirsi when two, f’ing moslames ganged up on her to prevent her from getting a word in edgewise).
I never realized Hezbollah rockets had that kind of range. No wonder the exclusion zone south of the Litani river in Lebanon is so important.
CNN has a very good conservative on its discussion panel everyday-Scott Jennings.
On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured. Zech 12:3
ALL nations, including USA. Let that soak in.
To achieve regime change in Iran would’ve required a boots-on-the-ground invasion of Iran. Because there are no allies to the US or Israel that border Iran I think the invasion would have had to have been an amphibious invasion, perhaps from the Persian Gulf. Israel doesn’t have the manpower to invade Iran so it would’ve had to have been a US-led invasion of a moslame state. Undoubtedly, our NATO “allies” and the UN would’ve turned their backs on the US if this invasion had come to pass and it would’ve taken practically the entire US Army and USMC to pull off and de-islamify Iran. In the long run this would’ve been a better outcome than kicking the islamofascist can down the road.
Mr BNI said practically the same thing.
Trump–appalling, as bad as MB Obama and Biden shameful. I’m not jewish but I wish israel all the best and get behind Netanyahu in doing what is needed to halt the endless islamic sadism and aggression…the muslims simply can’t live as normal people because their whole ideology is hate, death, sadism, destruction. Shame on Trump, Hesgeth and US who now look like weak, gutless, unreliable fools easily played by the iranians. They have played the US all the way with endless talks/not talks when the US should have carried out a sharp, fast, clean removal of the much hated islamic regime. My iranian friends are furious and distressed by Trump’s betrayal. Trump knows nothing about winning a war or the death cult ideology of islam.
I was shocked when I heard Trump said Bibi had to go, just like Obama before him.
Trump has lost his 🤬🤬🤬mind
