While President Trump was busy imposing a disastrous Iranian deal on the world, Israel, the only Jewish nation, did something to cement its identity in the Holy Land forever by standing up proudly and declaring that their land (including Judea & Samaria, surreptitiously renamed by Jordan as the “West Bank”) belongs to Israel, and only Israel, as it has for some 4,000 years.

Well not quite! Abraham lived “some 4000 years ago,” but the only evidence of a purchase of land was in Genesis, when his wife Sarah dies. Abraham purchases the Cave of Machpelah and its adjoining field from Ephron, the Hittite, as a burial place. He pays 400 Sheckels of silver, the initial over-market asking price, even though it was offered to him for free. Bible commentators say he did this so that there would be no question as to its ownership. The Cave of Machpelah is located in what is now Hebron.

Before the Biblical First Book of Kings there was only one nation – Israel – named after Jacob (whose other name was Israel and who was called the Father of Israel). But in the Second Book of Kings it is not Israel anymore, there are Israel and Judah. This happened about 2950 years ago during the reign of King Solomon’s son. The kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Assyrians and most of its inhabitants killed or exiled and became the “lost tribes.” Those that remained became the Samaritans. The Kingdom of Judah is what is modern day Israel.
So, I would say that 3000 years ago is more accurate than 4000. I am aware that many of these dates are disputed by modern “scholars,” but even in the worst case, we are talking about differences of about 100 years,

Israel’s reliance on US weaponry and armaments is an Achilles heel — especially now that Western Eurabia has been compromised by islamic petroeuros and mass moslame immigration.
If Nixon hadn’t authorized a gigantic airlift of arms and armaments for Israel late in the ’73’ Yom Kippur War things would have been very dicey for Israel. Although how Israel managed to continue to maintain their IDF Super Shermans decades after all US production of such tanks had ceased is a mystery (the Sherman tank was used by the US, Canada and UK during WW2 and then run out of production such that none were used in the Korean War).
Israel has greatly increased its military arms manufacturing capabilities and has plants in India as well. What people fail to mention is that ALL the military aid Israel gets from US is required to be spent with US manufacturers. No other country that gets aid from us has those conditions.

Modern tanks, aircraft, SAMs, Patriot missile batteries, radar installations and self-propelled artillery are very complex and require many spare parts to service them. Without those spare parts they become useless as Iran found out w/their F-14 Tomcats. Missiles and even artillery shells (e.g. prox-fused artillery shells) are highly complex.

Israel’s standing, regular army only numbers 3.9 million (which, maybe not so surprisingly is more than twice that of the USA), I don’t think that’s feasible, especially considering how many IDF soldiers are now tied down in Gaza and Lebanon, but even if all of them were available it would be a long term commitment that I don’t think Israel can afford considering Israel is surrounded by enemy states that have either invaded Israel, sponsored/sponsor islamic terrorism against Israel or both. Then again the USA only had a peak commitment of 543,000 soldiers and Marines in Vietnam in ’68’.

The thing is, there is no majority Christian nation anywhere in the Mid-East and N. Africa anymore. I don’t think there are enough Christians left to form a viable country that could defend itself against moslame infiltration, subversion, invasion, terrorism. Israel can’t afford to have millions of their soldiers guarding Christians against the moslame majority in the various islamic hellholes that now constitute the entire Mid-East and N. Africa, unless maybe a new, Christian state, somewhat like Southern Sudan were formed and all the Christians moved there. Maybe the state could be carved out of the southern end of Lebanon or the Sinai and the Christians and other peaceful religions armed to fight off the moslame thugs there.
