NYC MUSLIM TERRORIST attended NJ mosque that NYPD had under surveillance until Bill deBlasio ended the Muslim surveillance program

The NYPD Muslim surveillance program initiated under Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, was very effective at rooting out potential Muslim terrorists and terrorist plots, as evidenced by the fact that there were no successful Islamic terrorist attacks during that time, but countless averted plots. Unconscionably, the surveillance program was shut down when Bill deBlasio became Mayor in 2013. Now we are beginning to see the effects of deBlasio’s relentless Muslim pandering.

Frontpage  The NYPD targeted a Paterson mosque in its surveillance of Muslims in New York and New Jersey — recording license plates and photographing worshipers — according to new, detailed reports that shed more light on the massive spying operation across state lines. The goal was to have a source inside every mosque within a 250-mile radius of New York, officials told the AP, which broke the story.

The mosque is located in a city that is home to one of the largest Muslim and Arab communities in the region, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers reportedly lived temporarily. One also bought a fake ID in the city.

Back in 2012, the New York Police Department’s actions drew sharp rebuke from some Democrat local and state officials, who said the targeting of citizens based on religion and ethnicity may have violated their civil rights.

NYPD documents indicate that religion and ethnicity was behind the surveillance. The monitoring of Muslims has included mapping and surveillance at Muslim-owned restaurants and stores, in addition to schools and mosques.

After a three-month review, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office determined that the New York City Police Department broke no laws in its surveillance of Muslims on this side of the Hudson River after 9/11. But Mayor deBlasio decided to end the program anyway. 

So it comes as no surprise where the Uzbek Islamic terrorist who murdered 8 people in Manhattan hung his shoes. The Paterson mosque that the suspect in Tuesday’s deadly terror attack in New York City attended was among several in New Jersey that the New York Police Department targeted as part of a broad surveillance program that was intended to identify “budding terrorist conspiracies.”

The Masjid Omar Mosque is on Getty Avenue, around the corner from the apartment where the suspect, Sayfullo Saipov, lived with his family. Neighbors told The Record and NorthJersey.com that he worshiped there.

Good thing the left put a stop to that.
