In 2006, Obama raised over $1 million for his cousin Raila Odinga, candidate and supporter of terrorist groups. After losing the election in 2007 to a Christian, Odinga staged a violent coup, after which he was made prime minister of Kenya.
Washington Times The 2008 New Year Day atrocity in the Kenyan village Eldoret, about 185 miles northwest of Nairobi, had all the markings of the Rwanda genocide of a decade earlier. By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians.
The violence was led by supporters of Raila Odinga, the opposition leader who lost the Dec. 27, 2007, presidential election by more than 230,000 votes. Odinga supporters began the genocide hours after the final election results were announced Dec. 30.
Mr. Odinga had the backing of Kenya’s Muslim community heading into the election. In return for Muslim backing, Mr. Odinga promised to impose a number of measures favored by Muslims if he were elected president. Among these were recognition of “Islam as the only true religion,” Islamic leaders would have an “oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions ,” installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction, a ban on Christian preaching, replacement of the police commissioner who “allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists,” adoption of a women’s dress code, and bans on alcohol and pork.
Initially, Mr. Odinga was not the favored opposition candidate to stand in the 2007 election against President Mwai Kibaki, who was seeking his second term. However, he received a tremendous boost when Sen. Barack Obama arrived in Kenya in August 2006 to campaign on his behalf. Mr. Obama denies that supporting Mr. Odinga was the intention of his trip, but his actions and local media reports tell otherwise.
Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama were nearly inseparable throughout Mr. Obama’s six-day stay. The two traveled together throughout Kenya and Mr. Obama spoke on behalf of Mr. Odinga at numerous rallies. In contrast, Mr. Obama had only criticism for Kibaki. He lashed out against the Kenyan government shortly after meeting with the president on Aug. 25. “The [Kenyan] people have to suffer over corruption perpetrated by government officials,” Mr. Obama announced.
“Kenyans are now yearning for change,” he declared. The intent of Mr. Obama’s remarks and actions was transparent to Kenyans – he was firmly behind Mr. Odinga.
Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama had met several times before the 2006 trip. Reports indicate Mr. Odinga visited Mr. Obama during trips to the U.S. in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Mr. Obama sent his foreign policy adviser Mark Lippert to Kenya in early 2006 to coordinate his summer visit. Mr. Obama’s August trip coincided with strategizing by Orange Democratic Movement leaders to defeat Mr. Kibaki in the upcoming elections. Mr. Odinga represented the ODM ticket in the presidential race.
Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama’s father were both from the Luo community, the second-largest tribe in Kenya, but their ties run much deeper. Mr. Odinga told a stunned BBC Radio interviewer the reason why he and Mr. Obama were staying in near daily telephone contact was because they were cousins. In a Jan. 8, 2008, interview, Mr. Odinga said Mr. Obama had called him twice the day before while campaigning in the New Hampshire primary before adding, “Barack Obama’s father is my maternal uncle.”
President Kibaki requested a meeting of all opposition leaders in early January in an effort to quell the violence. All agreed to attend except Mr. Odinga. A month later, Mr. Kibaki offered Mr. Odinga the role of prime minister, the de facto No. 2 in the Kenyan government, in return for an end to the attacks. Mr. Odinga was sworn in on April 17, 2008.
Mr. Obama’s judgment is seriously called into question when he backs an official with troubling ties to Muslim extremists and whose supporters practice ethnic cleansing and genocide. It was Islamic extremists in Kenya who bombed the U.S. Embassy in 1998, killing more than 200 and injuring thousands. None of this has dissuaded Mr. Obama from maintaining disturbing loyalties.
Shocking report on Obama’s relationship with cousin Raila Odinga and his ties to al-Qaeda and 9/11. Odinga has promised to establish Kenya as a safe haven for terrorists once he seizes power.

And, as if the West’s exporting of its abortion license to Kenya — a nation known for growing, enthusiastic Catholic and other Christian presences — weren’t alarming enough, the proposed constitution would also create a legal system within a legal system — codifying the strengthening of sharia by making it apply to every Muslim Kenyan. As Eric Rassbach of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty points out: “People are subjected to these tribunals merely by virtue of what religious community they were born into, and they have no way of opting out.”
Nina Shea, director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, has a more direct and alarming warning: “The U.S. is drifting unconsciously, haltingly, inconsistently toward a foreign policy that actively promotes the state coercion of Islamic strictures. It adopted such a policy in its financial and legal drafting support of the constitutions of Iraq and Afghanistan. … It did so at the U.N. Human Rights Council in October 2009, when the U.S. joined with Egypt, representing the Organization of the Islamic Conference, to introduce a resolution calling for states to enforce their hate-speech laws. It explained its initiative, which shocked many NGOs, as seeking to ‘reach out to Muslim countries.'”
The Kenyan government has been “egregious” in pulling out all stops to propagandize for this constitution, says Terrence McKeegan, vice president and senior counsel for the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute.
Judy Kalinga, a lawyer in Kenya, sounding a lot like an American voter at a town hall or tea party, asserts: “We opponents of this constitution — opponents of these provisions on abortion and sharia law — want a constitution, we want reform, we need reform. But not this constitution.” She and other Kenyans want to restart. But President Obama and the West say they know best.

These are the positions of the man for whom Obama campaigned and raised money.
On Aug. 29, 2007, Raila Odinga signed a secret Memorandum of Understanding with Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum of Kenya. In exchange for Muslim support, Odinga agreed, among other things, to:
- Rewrite the national constitution to install shariah as the law in all “Muslim declared regions.”
- Elevate Islam as “the only true religion” and give Islamic leaders an “oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions.”
- Establish shariah courts in every Kenyan divisional headquarters.
- Ban Christian proselytism.
- Fire the police commissioner for “allow[ing] himself to be used by heathens and Zionists” to oppress Muslims.
- Adopt Islamic dress codes for women.
- Ban alcohol and pork.
Andrew C. McCarthy, the former U.S. attorney who investigated the American embassy bombing in Nairobi, Kenya, charges that Obama interfered in Kenya’s internal politics possibly in violation of the Logan Act. The centuries-old law bars Americans who are “without authority of the United States” from conducting relations “with any foreign government … in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States.”
Even with strong Muslim backing, Odinga (who does business with a wealthy Saudi donor to Osama bin Laden) was defeated in the December 2007 election. But he accused the incumbent president of rigging the vote and incited his supporters to riot in protest.
Over the next month, some 1,500 Kenyans were killed and more than 500,000 displaced – with most of the violence led by Muslims, who set churches ablaze and hacked Christians to death with machetes. All the while, Odinga was in regular communications with Obama.
“Odinga’s strategy, the extortion strategy of Islamist intimidation, worked to a fare-thee-well,” McCarthy notes in his book. To appease his angry mob of supporters, he was named prime minister and allowed to share power with the president.
“With Obama’s helping hand, leftists and Islamists had combined forces to overwhelm a constitutional democracy,” McCarthy says, while decrying the national media’s “stubborn disinterest” in the “stunning” chain of events.
The same alliance can be seen in the U.S., he says, as the Obama administration reaches out to the radical Muslim Brotherhood, which according to the FBI, has a plan to infiltrate and sabotage the U.S. from within. Obama and other Alinsky “revolutionaries” are carrying out a similar plan, he maintains. Read more: WND

And here we have Joe Biden endorsing the Shari’a-based constitution on behalf of Obama while pledging financial support to Kenya after its ratification.
Biden was in Kenya leading what sounded a lot like a rally for that nation’s new constitution, one that’s going to be voted on in August. It’s a fatally flawed document, inimical to the values of many Kenyans. The government lost a constitutional vote once before, and it’s called out the big guns for this propaganda campaign, including claimed promises of an Obama visit if the populace knuckles under.
U.S. financial and rhetorical support for the Kenyan constitution has some members of Congress calling for an investigation. In a letter to Department of State officials and others, Reps. Chris Smith of New Jersey, Darrell Issa of California and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida raised questions about U.S. lobbying in Kenya — specifically, the possibility that the Obama administration may have violated federal law in doing so.
Judy Kalinga, a lawyer in Kenya, asserts: “We opponents of this constitution — opponents of these provisions on abortion and sharia law — want a constitution, we want reform, we need reform. But not this constitution.” She and other Kenyans want to restart. But President Obama and the West say they know best. LINKH/T debrobeaudean

Three Republican congressmen reveal Barack Obama secretly spent $23 million of taxpayer money for a Shari’a based Constitution for Kenya.
An investigation by three Republican congressmen has revealed the Obama administration has secretly spent $23 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars in Kenya to fund a “Yes” vote ona constitutional referendum scheduled for Aug. 4 that would increase access to abortions in Kenya and establish legal status for Islamic law tribunals.
Meanwhile, trusted sources in Kenya tell WND that the White House has used Vice President Joseph Biden’s trip to Kenya in June and the office of U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Michael E. Ranneberger to put out the message that passage of the referendum would enable the White House to open the floodgates to allow millions of dollars of additional U.S. government aid and private investment capital to flow into Kenya.
Last week, in response to inquiries from Reps. Chris Smith, R-N.J., Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., and Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the U.S. Agency for International Development admitted to spending more than $23 million of U.S. taxpayer money to influence voters in Kenya to pass the highly contentious constitution. …. and the Left has black folks believing that Bush ’43 was a racist. The Republican Bush Administration helped to salve and alleviate problems in Africa (fighting AIDS, seeking to get sub-Saharan African nations on their own two feet, helping to fight the Islamic tide, etc.,). Here we have the Democratic Obama administration exacerbating problems in Africa (pushing forth Islamic risings, pushing Abortion-on-demand in countries already suffering population loss due to the AIDS epidemic, fostering the so-called “Arab Spring” which has given Islam new life and a will to impose itself on “those kuffar abdi (black slaves)”)
Can we start running guns to anti-Mohammedan fighters if this keeps up? Run tanks to them, too, even if we have to buy the tanks from Russia and China to do it… *ponders*
