It began with the first Arab-Israeli war in 1948. The popular misconception is that the Arab states invaded to help the Palestinians. Actually, they intended to carve up Palestine for themselves, NOT to create a Palestinian state.
JIJ From 1949 until 1967, Egypt could have given Gaza to the Palestinians for a state, just as the Jordanians could have created a Palestinian state in the West Bank. Neither did, but no one in the world cared because the Palestinians were not interested in a state and the occupiers were Arabs.
The lack of concern for the Palestinians was also evident after the 1967 War when the UN adopted Resolution 242, which has been the basis for all peace negotiations, yet does not mention the Palestinians.

Have you heard any concern for them or for how the Palestinian refugees have been treated for decades in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan? Israel offered to allow some of the refugees from Syria to go the West Bank, but Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas rejected the idea.

With the slaughter in Syria, Palestinians can see who their real friends are, and most are not the ones they expect.

Annie, they were just generic Arabs from a variety of locations. Arafat decided to give them a nationality in order to lay claim to the land of Israel as their own. But they WERE given a country in 1948 – it’s called Jordan and was intended by the UN to be the Palestinian state.

Israel sets up field hospital for wounded Syrians

Israel has reportedly established a large field hospital in the northern Golan Heights to treat Syrian’s wounded in their country’s ongoing civil war.
In recent weeks, 11 Syrians have crossed into Israel after being wounded in fierce gun battles between rebels and those forces still loyal to dictator Bashar Assad.
Until now, the wounded have all been taken to Ziv Hospital in the northern town of Safed. Eight have been successfully treated and returned to Syria, while three remain in Israel for ongoing treatment.
Israeli officials expect the number of wounded crossing the border to increase significantly as the fighting moves closer to the frontier. Hence the need for a field hospital.
This news once again refutes claims that Israel is a racist, apartheid state that hates Arabs. In fact, Israel is the only state in the region that would go out of its way to help wounded citizens from a neighboring nation with which it is still officially at war.
Not like the Syrians in the war with Israel that lined up wounded Israeli soldiers and ran them over with tanks!
As a South African, I find it highly amusing how the Dutch/Afrikaans term “apartheid” (pronounced Apart-hate) is used by most for incidences like these. Apartheid means “separateness” and the Muslim goons are the ones actually practising it as they cannot be tolerant of anyone else’s religion, dress code, neither what they eat or drink – everything must comply to their sick sharia law.
