The Archbishop must have been cooped up in the attic or in the library all day except Sunday, off course, that he didn’t know what this Islam is all about. Well he’s a priest, he’s thinking in purely religious terms. Number one : It is true that Christianity, as a religion, in it’s true form is not very dissimilar to Islam as a religion and that’s not surprising since the latter was a break off from Christianity + the Paganism it retained through Catholicism (just like Christianity itself was a break off from Judaism). You have most of the same angels, end world beliefs, women are inferior, monotheistic etc etc.
But, number two : Christianity gains more followers and prestige. Christianity was all but dead for years, I mean except for the white-haired old folks… No one was reading a bible or going to a church. I have seen new blood attending church, they don’t even have white hair!
Personally I think the world would be much better off without Imams, Rabbis and Priests.
There probably is a God, but the God in the ‘holy’ books are fairy-tales imo.
