Israeli military and security forces launched a major attack on centers of terrorist operations in the northern Judea & Samaria city of Jenin Sunday night. Jenin has emerged as a hub of terrorism, with the IDF confirming over 50 shooting attacks perpetrated by terrorists originating from the Jenin area this year alone, out of a total of more than 200 attacks within the past year and a half.
Israel said it was targeting ‘militants funded by Iran,’ including Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The operation involved aerial and ground strikes, with drones being used to target militant strongholds. The incursion has resulted in casualties, with several militants killed and dozens injured. This operation marks a major escalation in tensions in the region.
One senior Israeli official was quoted in The Times of Israel that the goal of the “extensive operation” is “to end Jenin’s role as a sanctuary city for terror, and it will last as long as it needs to.” It is the largest Israeli military action in Jenin since the Second Palestinian uprising, or Intifada, broke out in the fall of 2000.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said “In recent months, Jenin has become a safe haven for terrorists from that safe haven. Terrorists perpetrated savage attacks, murdering Israeli civilians, men, women, and children, as many children as they could find,” Netanyahu said at a US embassy event in Jerusalem on Monday evening.
FOX News Military officials expect the roughly 2,000 troops to remain in the West Bank city of Jenin for up to 48 hours after launching the operation. Palestinian officials say at least eight people were killed and 50 were wounded in the attack, which was larger than any operation Israel has carried out this year.
“The operational command center served as an advanced observation and reconnaissance center, a place where armed terrorists would gather before and after terrorist activities,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement, adding that it also served as “a hub for coordination and communication among the terrorists.”
“Over the past hours, our security forces have been operating against terror hotspots in the city of Jenin. In the face of terrorism, we will take a proactive and decisive approach. Anyone who harms the citizens of Israel, will pay a heavy price,” Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said in a statement. “

Israel’s problem is it usually waits far too long, initiates COUNTER attacks, and never, ever goes far enough.
Israel will never be secure until it wipes from the face of the Earth the Fakeistinian savages who want to “erase Israel.”
Unless Israel erases them first, not FOLLOWING Israeli murders, this will continue.

Not just till it ceases to be a ‘sanctuary city for terror’, but until it ceases to be the false Palestinian territory. Targeting it for being a sanctuary for terror, but leaving the infrastructure for producing more terrorists in future is simply applying a bandaid on a problem that needs more aggressive surgery. There are so many of their brethren nations around, including Iran, and these people can morph into Syrian/Afghans etc., and even more to the European nations which seem so keen to have them.
