FAR LEFT HOLLYWOOD’s obsession with turning new incarnations of classic movie blockbusters into pitifully ‘woke’ and politically correct ‘diversity’ shadows of their former popular selves…then wondering why nobody’s coming out to watch them.
It isn't Islamophobia when they really ARE trying to kill you

On Saturday, I went to see The Dial of Destiny with some close friends in Singapore.
While this isn’t the best overall film in the Indiana Jones franchise, I fail to see why anyone would consider it woke. I enjoyed this much more than the last one – “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.
Most events of The Dial… pertain to 1944 and 1969, the Moon landing period. As far as Indy is concerned, he’s always been fighting the Nazis since Raiders of the Lost Ark so there is that continuity. Right now the quest is for the mythical Archimedes Dial, a device that can “find the fissures in time”; both the Nazis and Indy experience time travel.
Harrison Ford looks a bit tired but that is to be expected of an 80-year old man reprising his epic role for one last time. This was really his final bow.
I did not notice any Gender Identity nonsense or hidden drag queens. Believe me, I always look hard enough for that drivel. Nothing – the screenplay is absolutely clean.
There is an annoying lead female character Helena Shaw, acted by the Englishwoman Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She was very similar to Jasmine (a former poster at BNI). Always poking around Indy’s business (absolutely no respect at all even though he calls her a ‘goddaughter.’)
I don’t like uppity women like Helena Shaw because they hurt my Islamic sensibilities. But I guess we can overlook that part.
The cave scenes were another disappointment as they appeared to be a clear rip-off of “The Last Crusade.” But as long as they’re ripping off from their own franchise, they get a pass under continuity.
Now let’s get to the positive aspects. The Dial of Destiny had some beautiful moments. When Indy time traveled to 214 BCE in Syracuse, Sicily, he found himself in the middle of a Roman Siege battle that killed Archimedes. It was very emotional to have Indy face to face with Archimedes — they communicate in Ancient Greek (Indy is supposed to be proficient in all ancient languages including Greek, Latin, Babylonian,)
I think watching the Archimedes-Indy encounter alone is worth the price of your ticket. We paid S$25 per person (US$19) here in Singapore, not exactly very cheap.
Overall if you’re a history buff, you might like this movie. It’s much better than any politically correct stuff.
The movie does show Muslims in a positive light so that might be a sore point for many of you. Parts of it were shot in Morocco – and they showed the liberal racy side of Tangier and Casablanca – semi-naked women, free flowing alcohol, and casino gamblers.

Boycott all politically correct films!

Go see Jim Caviezel’s “Sound of Freedom” instead….if anyone goes to the movies anymore.

I still watch him in ‘Person of Interest’ reruns.

Just saw Sound of Freedom. It is a powerful movie one of the better films in the last few years. You’ll never forget it.
