Employees of beauty salons in Kabul, Afghanistan, staged a protest following a recent Taliban order that will close all women’s beauty salons in less than a month. Thousands of women will lose their jobs if the order is implemented.
While I feel bad for the employees, can anyone tell me why women who cover their hair and most of their face, and all of their bodies need a beauty salon in the first place?
I paint a picture and i take time to make it as beautiful as possible, when im finished with it i put a black bag over it ti hide it from all eyes except mine. That is why they dont need a beatuysaloon then the potatoesack must be worn so why take the time to paint your face and make your hair when after all the doing it you must wear a potatoesack and hide all you have done.
Looking at pictures of a lot at Afgan women one would think that they would be encouraging more “Beauty” parlours to open. But yet again the Taliban probably want to reperpose them to making camels and donkeys look a little better for their fighters.
Good luck with that in shitholle Afghanistan……but still wishing the women well.
Huh… and I thought that using the words “beauty” and Muslim” in the same sentence was an oxymoron!
I am no good at guessing why women do what they do you would think muslim women would want to get as ugly as they can get in the interest of self preservation
