Another Quran has been desecrated in Sweden as two men, Salwan Momika (a Christian refugee from Iraq) and Salwan Najem (also an Iraqi refugee, not sure if he is Christian or ex-Muslim) kicked the holy book and burned several pages of it in front of the Royal Palace, as they had done at a protest outside Stockholm’s main mosque in late June.
Sweden Postsen Local media reported Swedish police had granted a permit for Monday’s protest, as demonstrators said they wanted to see the Muslim holy book banned in Sweden. Both Salwan Momika and Salwan Najem are now being investigated on suspicion of incitement against a ethnic group.
So far, the men have carried out three chorus actions, but several applications for new gatherings are on the police’s table. The closest on Thursday outside the Iranian embassy.
As a result, the UK and US have issued warnings about potential Islamic terror attacks.
