Despite tons of evidence to the contrary, Trump-betraying General Mark Milley says he’s ‘not even sure’ what ‘woke’ means before insisting that the US military definitely is not

General Mark Milley insisted he was not sure what the word “woke” means before he claimed the last thing the armed forces are is “woke.” The confusing statements from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff came in an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, when the host asked, “Is the U.S. military too woke?” “No, not at all,” Milley replied. “So — you know, I’m not even sure what that word truly means,” he stated right after.

The Blaze “But I would tell you that the military I see is a military that is exceptionally strong. It’s powerful. It’s ready. In fact, our readiness rate is — the way we measure readiness is better now than they’ve been in years,” the general continued.

After boasting about the United States military’s air and sea operations, Milley made a definitive claim about the armed forces. “But this — military is a lot of things, but woke it is not. So I take exception to that. I think that people say those things for reasons that are their own reasons. But it’s not true. It’s not accurate,” he declared.

“It is not to say, by the way, that there is — there is not some things out there that are — could be fit into that category. But I don’t think it certainly is — it is not a broad-brush description of the U.S. military as it exists today,” Milley added.

In April 2023, Milley claimed that he was “unaware” of any “Drag Queen Story Hours” happening on military installations.

“‘Joint Base Langley-Eustis holds drag show at kid-friendly festival.’ And the next is ‘U.S. military defends drag show at largest training center as quote, ‘essential to morale,'” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) told General Milley at a hearing.

The Republican was then photographed handing the general a folder of news clippings detailing other woke events that Milley said he was not privy to.

In June 2021, Milley defended the reading of critical race theory texts by the military, the Daily Wire reported, saying it was akin to reading communist or Marxist doctrine for educational purposes.

“I’ve read Mao Tse-Tung; I’ve read Karl Marx; I’ve read Lenin. That doesn’t make me a communist.”

Milley said that he found it “offensive that we are accusing the United States military, our general officers, our commissioned, non-commissioned officers, of being ‘woke’ because we’re studying some theories that are out there.”

Milley also said that he believed it was “important actually for those of us in uniform to be open-minded and be widely read” regarding “white rage.”

Under Joe Biden’s far-left “woke” agenda, the US military (except for the Marine Corps) has been forced to drastically lower its standards to attract recruits. After bending the knee to far-left “woke” ideology, the US Military is forced to take a hacksaw to the standards that are used to find and train new recruits as the Armed Forces struggle through what some officials are calling the “most challenging recruiting year ever.”

Gateway Pundit  In addition to lowering almost every single physical qualification for new recruits to pass their initial training, the US Army has now dropped its requirementthat recruits must have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. degree in a desperate effort to attract new blood into the ranks.

From Military.com: “The Army and its sister services have scrambled this year, offering increasingly generous benefits and policy tweaks in an effort to improve recruiting numbers. The Army has hit 40% of its recruiting goals this year, with the struggle to fill the ranks seemingly so grim the Defense Department reduced its planned total force size because prior recruiting goals were out of reach.”

As the US military brass throws standards out the window in the name of wokeness, is it any wonder that Americans are not clamoring to join the ranks? Military preparedness now means having proper training on building a safe space for gender-sensitive ideologues, and, of course, always using the proper pronouns.

Just take a look at the US Navy’s latest training video for its Sailors… Sadly, this is not a joke, and, with Biden as the ‘Commander in Chief,’ it’s happening across every branch of the Armed Forces. Remember, this is an official US Navy training video, which, according to the military branch, was meant to teach sailors “the importance of using correct pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of someone’s pronouns.”

The video highlights the radical shift in military preparedness and standards that have occurred as of late. Instead of training soldiers to fight, and, more importantly, come home alive, US military leaders are focused on creating a more inclusive, sensitive environment – as the Navy video clarifies, a literal “safe space.” It’s a woke joke.

Unfortunately, this crippling agenda is pervading the entire US military system, with gender affirmation and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) programs popping up in all six branches under Biden’s fraudulent leadership.

Meanwhile, our adversaries continue to capitalize on this regime’s miserable failings and planned destruction of the US. Add in the fact that the vaccine mandates purged a large number of our best military members, and things are looking even worse.

In order to be eligible for service, new recruits will simply have to score a 50 on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test and be of eligible age (18 or older), the US Army explainedin an announcement on Thursday. Officials for the service blamed a ‘lack of ability and desire’ among young Americans for the recruiting struggles throughout every branch of the military.

As of now, the Army has reached just 40% of its recruitment goal for the fiscal year ending in October. This is on par with the rest of the six branches, which are all projected to fall short of their recruiting goals in 2022.

With US Army recruiting videos like this one, is it any surprise  that our enemies are laughing at us?

According to one Military official who spoke with NBC, the situation has reached “crisis” levels, especially in the wake of Covid-19. From NBC: “This recruiting crisis is like a slow-moving wave coming at us. As the military has gotten smaller and the public have gotten less and less familiar with those in uniform, it has grown. And COVID accelerated it.”

In addition to the relaxed educational requirements, the Army has also removed restrictions on the placement, size, and number of tattoos that are allowed, as well as offered enhanced benefits and perks for new recruits in an effort to drum up interest. But, little has worked so far.

Unbelievably, the struggle to find new recruits is so bad that previous recruiting goals had been revised downward going into this year, and yet, the Army is still a full 60% away from its 2022 goal with just 3 months to go.

Long gone are the days of responsibility and standards that made our military the greatest force ever to grace the earth. Now, you don’t even need a basic education – you just need to pledge your allegiance to the woke ideology.

If you want to become a deep state spook, even better. The US Army PSYWAR division will train you how to “manipulate” fellow Americans and the people of the world from the shadows – as their recruitment video makes clear: “Everything [they] touch is a weapon.”

Unfortunately, the US Military – under the corrupt leadership of Joe Biden and the America-hating swamp – is swiftly becoming a serious problem, if not a serious threat to the American people who its members are sworn to protect. As the pool of people interested in serving their country continues to dwindle, the Armed Forces are looking to bring in previously-unqualified recruits who will be more willing to comply with the arbitrary demands (like Covid vaccine mandates) and woke standards of the US military.

In other words, the military is going through a ‘forced reset’ and the Biden Regime is looking to clear the field of all potential dissenters. What happens when they finish the job? “Like Stalin’s purge of the Red Army in the late 1930s, Barack Obama and Joe Biden have been grooming the U.S. military into a politically reliable instrument of tyranny.”

What’s more, Senate Republicans are questioning the United States’ top military official over what they claim is a “woke” military agenda. Twelve Republicans on the Senate Armed Services Committee sent a letter to Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley, arguing that the military is prioritizing adapting to climate change and fighting domestic extremism instead of maintaining a prepared force against our enemies.

Thanks to the Biden Regime’s far-left “woke” policies, the US military is weaker than it’s ever been before.

For the first time the Heritage Foundation’s index of American military strength has ranked us as ‘weak’. The index warns that the Army “remains ‘weak’ in capacity with only 62 percent of the force it should have.” And even the Army has admitted that it has missed its recruiting target by 10,000 personnel which is expected to climb to over 20,000 by the end of the next fiscal year.

Frontpage Magazine – Daniel Greenfield  As Heritage and the Wall Street Journal note, “From 2005 to 2020, the U.S. fleet grew to 296 warships from 291, while China’s navy grew to 360 from 216.” The Navy however is focused on inclusion and diversity. The situation at the Air Force is much worse with the Heritage report warning that “the munitions stockpile” would probably “not support a peer-level fight that lasted more than a few weeks”. But the Air Force is also focused on diversity and inclusion.

The Navy is rated as very weak in capacity and weak in readiness. The Air Force ranks as very weak due to “problems with pilot production and retention, an extraordinarily small amount of time in the cockpit for pilots, and a fleet of aircraft that continues to age”. The Heritage index warns that “there is little doubt that it would struggle in war with a peer competitor”.

The Space Force is described as weak because “there is little evidence that the USSF has improved its readiness to provide nearly real-time support to operational and tactical levels of force operations or that it is ready in any way to execute defensive and offensive counterspace operations.”

US Army Chief Major General Malcolm Frost has slammed millennial recruits in the U.S. Army, claiming they are “too weak” to be put on the battlefield. According to Frost, the Army now is all about coddling soldiers, placating feminists, sucking up to the LGBT lobby and being as politically correct as possible. “The U.S. Army will drop its hand grenade competency requirement for graduation from basic training because getting recruits to pass it is taking ‘too much time’ and they’re just not strong enough.”

USdefensewatch.com reports: “What we have found is it is taking far, far too much time. It’s taking three to four times as much time … just to qualify folks on the hand grenade course than we had designated so what is happening is it is taking away from other aspects of training.”

So, in a nutshell, Army recruits now largely consist of wussified young men who throw like girls and a ton of female recruits, who strangely, throw like girls. Guess what. Our enemies…they can throw grenades. Because our enemies are men who aren’t soy boys.

Frost pointed out some other big changes at Basic. “What leaders have observed is that, in general, they believe that there’s too much of a sense of entitlement, questioning of lawful orders, not listening to instruction. Too much of a buddy mentality with NCOs and officers,”Frost said.

Recruits questioning lawful orders? Not listening to instruction? In the old days the recruit would be run over by Smokey the Bear driving the Kiwi Express. What was left of him would be digging a ten foot hole to bury a cigarette after he ran two miles around the barracks with a M-60 over his head. But, the Army doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.

Only the Marine Corps is rated as strong. Even our nuclear capabilities are slipping with “Russia and China are aggressively expanding the types and quantities of nuclear weapons in their inventories. Nearly all components of the nuclear enterprise are at a tipping point with respect to replacement or modernization and have no margin left for delays in schedule.”

It’s no coincidence that the ‘wokest’ service branches also show up as the weakest. The takeaway from the Heritage report that “the current U.S. military force is at significant risk of not being able to meet the demands of a single major regional conflict while also attending to various presence and engagement activities” should be a grave warning and a wake up call.

Anyone worried about these numbers will find scant comfort in Biden’s new National Security Strategy released earlier in October. The NSS is supposed to define an administration’s vision. And Biden’s NSS is depressingly faithful to the woke obsessions that have made us so weak.

Former CIA Director and  Secretary of State under Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo, says he has a new mission — to battle what he terms is “a woke military which has become a weak military.”

The National Security Strategy asserts that “we have broken down the dividing line between foreign policy and domestic policy”. America’s strength lay in a dividing line between foreign and domestic policy. Weak, troubled and totalitarian nations conflate the two. As does Biden.

That dividing line meant that America could aggressively confront foreign enemies abroad while maintaining civil liberties at home. The Biden administration, like its Obama predecessors, has insisted on conflating domestic and international political conflicts, defining the domestic opposition as a “threat to democracy” on the same spectrum as foreign autocratic regimes.

Without the dividing line, the Biden administration is free to insist that the welfare state, its corrupt green subsidies and every single leftist agenda item are actually part of our national security strategy. The NSS even defines Biden’s open borders as “investing in our people”.

Army combat veteran Cory Mills criticizes President Biden for focusing on gender equity and critical race theory, arguing it makes the U.S. military look weaker to the world. 

Wokeness’ is at the heart of the NSS with the assertion that “we are building on the work of generations of activists to advance equity and root out systemic disparities in our laws, policies, and institutions. Indeed, pluralism, inclusion, and diversity are a source of national strength in a rapidly changing world.” This same rhetoric about DEI has been rolled into military doctrine so that unprecedented military weakness appears like a strength because it’s a diverse weakness.

As a result of the Biden Regime’s pandering to far left ‘woke’ ideology, God is out, while Critical Race Theory and special rights for transgenders are in. Not only are current service members not re-enlisting or are retiring in droves, qualifications for joining the military had to be lowered, as it is getting harder and harder to attract new recruits who primarily have come from conservative red states.

Tellingly, “modernizing and strengthening our military” comes at the very end of the second subsection behind agenda items like Biden’s corrupt special interest giveaways, and, most damningly, “strengthening our democracy”. Only a totalitarian banana republic would include attacks on domestic opponents in its national security strategy. And that, sadly, is what we have.

Biden’s National Security Strategy for strengthening and modernizing the military is to impose political tests, purge political opponents and appease foreign enemies. 

The NSS isn’t the document of a world power, but of a declining nation squabbling with itself, but incapable and unwilling to assert any kind of meaningful presence at home or abroad. The National Security Strategy is fixated on the endless bureaucratic lists of global internationalism. It’s European in its view of the United States as benefiting most from a globalist system “governed by the UN charter” rather than taking independent action for its own interests.

The NSS names China and Russia as threats, but remains too fixated on fighting conservatives at home to take foreign threats seriously. And so the NSS Global Priorities section concludes with warnings that the real threat comes from “a range of domestic violent extremists, including those motivated by racial or ethnic prejudice, as well as antigovernment or anti-authority sentiment”. It urges “Congress to advance commonsense gun laws and policies” and address “the crisis of disinformation and misinformation”. Which is to say, speech it doesn’t like.

Having eliminated the “dividing line between foreign policy and domestic policy”, the Biden administration now treats Americans like foreign enemies and makes domestic woke obsessions, like global warming and equity, into the pivot of our foreign policy. The military is there to be made “diverse” and inclusive” while being completely unready to fight and win. It’s been a long time since our military has been this weak. And it’s never been this ‘woke.’
