Palestinian professor previosuly lauded by the New York Times, tweeted sickening joke about Hamas claiming to have baked an Israeli baby to death in an oven

Gaza-based Palestinian professor Refaat Alareer – who was once glorified by the New York Times – responded to a paramedic’s testimony that they’d found an infant who’d been cooked to death by tweeting:

Alareer, who has previously described all Jews as ‘evil’, was published by The New York Times in May 2021.  A video of his remarks was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, where pro-Palestinian commentators dismissed it as ‘Zionist propaganda’.

Reporter Patrick Kingsley called him an unlikely ‘champion of Hebrew poetry’ and presented him as open-minded and peaceful.  The paper’s editorial board added a comment after publication admitting he had been portrayed in a way that was not ‘complete’.  

Earlier this year, before the Hamas attack on October 7, he was due to appear at UPenn for a Palestinian literary festival.  Students protested given his anti-Semitic writings and he was removed from the speaker panel. 

Since the war began on October 7, Hamas and its supporters have tried relentlessly to dismiss and discredit testimony of some of its militants most brutal acts.

First, there was widespread disagreement over a contested story that some paramedics found beheaded babies.  Beer insists it is true and Biden said he had seen photos to corroborate the claims. A morgue worker also told DailyMail.com that Hamas had beheaded an unborn baby after ripping it from its mother’s womb.
