In a stirring 5-minute talk delivered outside the National Mall on Tuesday, the 55-year-old lawyer and civil rights advocate expressed his support for the Jewish community both in America and Israel in light of the Israel-Hamas conflict and the recent rise in virulent, widespread anti-Semitism.
Jones, said “Now if you’re not Jewish, you may not know this, but since October 7th there has been literally an explosion of violence against Jewish people, up 400% in just the past 3 weeks, according to the FBI. Horrific acts of hatred against Jewish people.”
“I don’t want to be silent, because the Jewish community stood with the civil rights movement,” Jones continued to rapturous applause. “Walking arm-in-arm, facing death, going to jail. The Jewish community stood with the civil rights movement and I cannot be silent when Jews are under attack today.”
Pro-semites are coming out from unexpected places. Nice to see.
Van Jones said that?Has he been fired yet?Just remember Van Jones is about as stable as a Los Angeles freeway overpass.
Van Jones is the most racist black man in America. Blacks are only 12% of American population.
No surprise; this is how you play to win.
You attract a great many flies with honey.
Van Jones is extremely dangerous.
What a mensch, “‘May The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’
