An Iranian-funded group, calling itself the “Boston Mapping Project,” considered an incitement to violence, is doxxing Israel-supporting Jews and Jewish organization in the Boston area. The Project created an interactive map identifying places where Jews tend to congregate as well as the locations of Jewish community organizations in Massachusetts. The map included locations of Jewish daycare centers and schools.
JPost Alarm bells recently went off among American Jews when Boston BDS, a shadowy Islamic group that has no identified members, published a detailed, interactive Mapping Project report online.
“If anyone doubted the virulent anti-Semitism of the BDS movement, the Nazi-like targeting of Jews by the authors of this ‘mapping’ project makes the point clear,” Gilead Ini, a Boston-based senior research analyst at the Committee for Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA).
The report is a roadmap to anti-Jewish violence: The Mapping Project brazenly and openly maps and promotes “dismantling” and “disrupting” long lists of Boston-area Jewish institutions across the political spectrum, synagogues throughout Massachusetts, staff members, Jewish family foundations, schools and numerous other entities that allegedly have some sort of connection, past or present, real or imagined, to American Jews, Judaism, Jewish charities, Jewish education, Jewish donors or Israel.
Ironically, the Mapping Project is even targeting the left-wing Jewish group New Israel Fund (NIF), which funded the initial Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) target list. That target list is the foundation for the BDS movement’s antisemitic economic warfare campaigns.
The Boston BDS Mapping Project and groups such as Within Our Lifetime (WOL) have laid bare the true nature of BDS and the reality of the threats against us. BDS is not a civil rights movement aimed at improving Israel. BDS is a political, propaganda, cultural and economic-warfare campaign to completely dismantle and eradicate Israel, and more. In fact, we are dealing with a warfare campaign against the entire Jewish people, wherever they may be.
WOL mapped and threatened Jewish organizations in New York City, and calls for “globalizing the Intifada” – meaning, expanding to the United States and the rest of the world the horror of the Intifada terror wars, in which Arab terrorists murdered or maimed 10,000 Jews in Israel.
Mapping Project’s organizers accuse the groups — which include the local Jewish Community Relations Council and Synagogue Council, the Anti-Defamation League and American Jewish Community, a Jewish high school, local philanthropies, and more — of ties to “harms that we see as linked, such as policing, US imperialism, and Palestinian displacement/ethnic cleansing.”
“Our goal in pursuing this collective mapping was to reveal the local entities and networks that enact devastation, so we can dismantle them,” the organizers wrote in an op-ed. “Every entity has an address, every network can be disrupted.” Local Jewish leaders have said this amounts to a call to “dismantle” the entire Massachusetts Jewish community.
U.S. Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA), on the Mapping Project, said
“This is just chilling to me. It is tapping into millennia-old antisemitic tropes about nefarious Jewish wealth, control, conspiracy, media connections, and political string-pulling,” Auchincloss, who is Jewish, told the news site Jewish Insider at the time. “To name names and keep lists, which has a very sinister history in Judaism, in terms of how we are targeted, is very irresponsible.[The group needs to take this down and apologize.”
In the face of this radical anti-establishment and anti-democratic ideology expressed by the Mapping Project, the “Jewish” issue advanced by its proponents may serve only as a “cover” to conceal the project’s real purpose: attacking American democracy and security from within.
