Turkey has staged an unprovoked attack on Incirlik, a U.S. military air base in Turkey, near the Israeli border.
A month ago, pro-Hamas terrorist supporters tried to storm this air base housing U.S. troops in Turkey.
It isn't Islamophobia when they really ARE trying to kill you
Skunk spray needed here. Or better yet- bullets.
Forget skunk spray or bullets. Trump would either take out a high ranking general or bomb some strategic facility.
That’s a very serious question, What would Donald Trump do? Because Pr. Trump had a soft spot for Turkey’s Erdogan. Actually, he had expressed his admiration for him, calling him a “good player”, and didn’t do much to contain him.
As a Greek, I always had a difficult time in getting to terms with my support to Pr. Trump and to PM Netanyahu and the stance of both of them towards Turkey.
There is the notion, that because Turkey is not so radically Islamist, it is a moderate nation, it is an agent of stability in the region, and they forget how radically imperialistic it is. It is meddling everywhere, following the “The Young Turks”‘s dogma of Pan-Turkism, the dominance of the Turks (which is, let’s not forget, coupled with the Pan-Islamism dogma). This is a long-term goal and they work gradually and methodically, taking forward and backward steps, as it is fit to their overall purpose, but constantly advancing.
They occupied half of Cyprus setting a strong foot in east Mediterranean, they threaten the Greek sovereignty, they are meddling in the Balkans spending lots of money in Albania and Skopje, they are meddling in Libya, they try to put pressure on Egypt’s Sissi, they have set foot in Syria (occupying Kurdish land, and this happened under Pr Trump), they helped Azerbaijan against Armenia, they are meddling in China (by influencing Turkish speaking populations), they influence a lot of the ex-Soviet countries with populations who speak Turkic languages, and so on.
I had always hoped that Pr. Trump would have taken a step to contain Turkey, but unfortunately he didn’t even recognize a Kurdish state. My inner hope was that together with Putin, they would do something drastic about Turkey (maybe it was my wishful thinking), but unfortunately they (who?) never let them work together, and by alienating Putin, they sent him into the arms of the Muslims, and now the world has turned in a mess.
So, back to the original question, I believe that Pr Trump would do something, but would it be drastic enough? Or would Erdogan again backtrack for a while, and later he would continue on his track, when a new opportunity would be given. Because, for a country as big as Turkey, in such a strategic position, there will always be opportunities, unless something drastic is done.
Finally, some people think that the problem is Erdogan, and once he is gone, things will be better. I sincerely hope so, but the Turks have been voting for Erdogan for decades now. So, is it Erdogan or is it Turkey? Like, is it Hamas, or is it the Palestinians?
[Having said all that, I trully wish all BNI readers, and you Bonnie and your family, the best of a new year. May we see Israel dwell in safety. May we seen the end of the suffering of innocent people, may we see people turning to the One and true God to find peace and eternity, and may we see Donald Trump elected. Happy 2024.]
It wouldn’t take much for Trump to turn on him. Attacking our base would be more than enough.
I would surely hope so.
What he WOULD do and SHOULD do are two very different things.
I fear we have a traitorous RINO Congress that will be in mortal combat with Trump every inch of the way WHEN he becomes President, and that’s IF we keep a majority in the House and take it back in the Senate. Fail that and Trump will not HAVE a presidency at all.
TURKEY? — We SHOULD erase from existence and turn into dust one of THEIR bases — and he might give it a try — but WOULD he, given the cadre of ENEMIES in D.C. already lined up to interfere with and destroy a Trump presidency?
Buckle up. Trump may win but the road to success will be more than rough. In my view we’re going to see civil strife (often known as civil “war”) and anarchy thanks to the leftist America-hating media and Communist Hollywood supporters for sure.
If you haven’t looked closely, it’s already begun.
There is no reason to have them in NATO anymore, as if there ever was one.
If Turks make a conscious choice to abandon Islam, I would treat them more favourably. I believe they are far less radical on average. You can’t have it both ways: supporting ISIS and Hamas, and then trying to be a moderate.
arm an dust off the nukes would be the short order from Trump !
