Ahmed, during a recent sermon at the at the Islamic Institute of Torrance, burst into tears and cried out: “What have we done wrong to make Allah not choose us to be martyrs like the Palestinians?” Ahmed went on to say that the Palestinians have been chosen by Allah to be “the best people living on the earth nowadays” (by killing and being killed by Jews in retaliation).
Typical Muslim take on things. Never take responsibility for anything! ‘What have I done wrong to be so far away from Palestine’ he says. ‘Why did Allah not choose me?’. Heck, it is not too late! Even now he can pack his bags and be there, and make his mother proud to be a mother of a martyr. The IDF would only be too glad to dispatch him to his awaiting virgins on the other side.

Am I getting this or am I missing the point? The imam’s sermon starts with a cry of deriliction in yearning to know why didn’t Allah chose the muslim over the Yahud who is corrupt, sinful and heinous. And it seems that his point falls into itself upon his tearfully realizing how murderous, corrupt and heinous the muslim actually is. I do not know whether to have empathy for his confused mental state or just laugh uproariously at what a fool he has made out of himself. At imam school he either failed at muslim sermonizing 101 or he made the dean’s list. His is a world of self-congratulatory self-righteousness until he comes right up against his own failures and inadequacies. Truth is as brutal as a self-slap in one’s own face.
