You should actually look this one up. Azerbaijan is pretty chummy with Israel whereas Armenia is in the Iran camp. I think it’s because of the Iran-Israel enmity.
Azerbaijan is a key supplier of crude oil to Israel. At the same time, Israel is a major supplier of military equipment to Azerbaijan, which they use to kill Armenians.
India is a major arms supplier to Armenia at the moment. They use Indian weapons to kill the Azerbaijanis.
Azerbaijan is home to some 30,000 Jews. For a country with a relatively small population 10 million, that’s quite a huge number of visible Jews.
My guess is the Azerbaijanis don’t like the desert Arabs too much.
There’s more complexity in this equation. Armenia has free access to an important port in Iran, Chabahar, which was jointly developed by India. India and Iran have generally good relations because they hate the Pakistanis. Anyone who hates the Pakistanis is automatically our friend.
India has of course excellent relations with Israel. We stand with the Jews through thick and thin now, and will support them in all their troubles. The Israel-Iran conflict was a testy situation for us as Iran is a leading supplier of crude oil to India.
Just like Azerbaijan and Iran don’t get along, India also does not enjoy good relations wth Azerbaijan because it supports Pakistan. However, they’re trying to be more diplomatic as they cannot afford to offend a big country like India.
We have a simple rule of thumb for India – if you’re a Pakistan lover, you’re our enemy. But again, we are not capable of enforcing that rule on the United States, Russia or China.

Iran hates Pakistan (Shia-Sunni problem) and is also sponsoring terrorist attacks on Pakistanis, and Pakistan-based mosques. Also, it doesn’t hate India that much because it needs us to survive the Western sanctions.

All Moslames pick on Armenia because it is a very small country, weak and undefended. Even Russia’s Putin is like “f_ them. Let the Azerbaijanis take care of them.”
India is among very few countries that has taken a principled, moral stand on the Armenia situation (almost all of West siding with Azerbaijan and Turkey in that they tacitly sipport the genocide of Armenians).
But we do have very good ties with Armenia. There’s an Armenian church in every major Indian city. And they deserve their own space and country free from Islamic incursions. I would support a permanent battle regiment of Indian troops armed with Brahmos missiles on Armenian soil to deter Azerbaijani misadventures.
Personally, I think Armenia will cease to exist this century. They’re surrounded by moslame states and Russia has turned its back on them.

Our British overlords “oversaw” the 1947 transition. They were clearly biased in favor of the Moslames. Of course, they hated us so they went out of their way to ensure India becomes a dysfunctional country.
At the time of independence, India only had two helicopters for its entire Air Force. The Brits left a royal mess which took at least a few decades to clean up. Now everything’s fine.

Most Indian Moslames of non-Punjabi ethnicity had no place in Pakistan from the very beginning. They had no choice but ts stay back in India. The Hindus were empathetic about their plight and let them stay.

India created Bangladesh as an independent nation in a spirit of generosity. But they weren’t willing to work hard and earn their stripes through proper devellopment. All they had to do was nothing like Nepal and Bhutan. Both countries are effectively run by India. But that ensures the roads are well-maintained, everyone has job security, and there is no shortage of food, electricity, or water. India takes very good care of its neighboring countries that rely on it.
Bangladesh could have chosen to be prosperous like Nepal or Bhutan. But they chose the path of radical Islam. Now there’s no point helping them anymore. India still drops them food packets during floods and natural disasters. But we don’t want any more Bangladeshis in our land. They’ve burned all the bridges and there’s no goodwill remaining anymore.
