At the JNS International Policy Summit, Mosab Hassan Yousef shared his candid assessment of Israel’s war against Iran, arguing that Israel had a rare strategic advantage that was never fully utilized. In this powerful discussion, Mosab explains why he believes wars cannot be fought on political timelines, why October 7th changed everything, and why Israel’s survival does not depend on public opinion or the support of world powers.
FYI: A former member of Hamas, Mosab Hassan Yousef is now one of the most outspoken voices on the threats facing Israel and the West. Born in Ramallah, in the West Bank. His father, Sheikh Hassan Yousef, was a Hamas co-founder who spent many years in Israeli prisons as a result of his militant activities.
Now a U.S. citizen, Mosab arrived in the U.S. in 2007 on a tourist visa and was granted political asylum in 2010 after facing severe threats to his life for defecting from Hamas and working as a one-time undercover agent for the Israeli intelligence services. He’s also a vocal — and longtime — Hamas critic who appeared before the UN to denounce the barbarism of Hamas’ October 7th attack on Israel and warn the world of terror yet to come.
