That said they may not be immediately violently disposed towards Westerners. They will want to earn your trust first.

During the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger sent the U.S. Seventh Fleet to the Bay of Bengal with the sole purpose to intimidate Indians.
Our courageous Indian troops were trying to save human lives (including those pathetic Moslem lives) in East Pakistan/Bangladesh.
It was an ongoing genocide at hat time that India was trying to prevent.
The so-called champion of human rights, the United States would have none of it. A few million dead Hindus meant absolutely nothing to them.
In fact, this was only the second time since the end of the big World War that the American Task Force 74 was deployed. It was spearheaded by U.S.S. Enterprise, at that time the largest aircraft carrier in the world, and four times bigger than the largest Soviet aircraft carrier. It was guided by several destroyers: USS Decatur, USS King, and around 25 other assault ships. Not even the Vietnam war led to this level of escalation.

True to its professionalism, the Indian Army made arrangements to ensure the safety of the West Pakistani soldiers, around 93000 of them. They were immediately shifted to prison camps in India where they spent around a year. But they were well-fed and accorded all the privileges of the Geneva Conventions, something they had denied their enemies.
The poor Pakistanis tried to open a Western front but got badly beaten. Despite their U.S
made Pattin tanks, India”s outdated RAF Hawker Hunter aircrafts which were actually designed in the Second World War, got the upper hand.
The 1971 war proved once and for all, wars are not won by sophisticated equipment but by the courage and steely resolve of the soldiers fighting it.
Nixon and Kissinger were forced to eat shit after India quickly ended hostilities and a new country, Bangladesh was already formed.
I am told some Yank admiral at the helm of USS Enterprise was s devout friend of India. He deliberated long enough for the Indian army to complete our mission successfully, directly defying orders from Nixon. He was later reprimmaded for this.

I hope the second Trump administration is favorably disposed towards India, unlike the Nixon-Kissinger era.
