Bill Maher’s comment is employing two common fallacies of argumentation employed by today’s degenerate, immoral, dishonest, dimwitted atheists; viz.: taking the part for the whole (because no, not all religions are the same atheist dimwits, despite your desperation to pigeonhole all religions) and false equivalence. Whatever moslames do to satisfy the bloody, intolerant precepts of their death cult does NOT reflect on all religions. Furthermore, the Crusades were a RESPONSE to islamic persecution and slaughter of Christians by moslames in the Holy Land, it was not equivalent to the islamic concept of the greater jihad (which is offensive [and in more ways than one]). A persecution that in no way exempted Jews. Jews were disallowed access to the Temple Mount (which they built) AND the Western Wall. Access to the Western Wall for Jews was only reinstated following Israel’s capture of the Temple Mount in the Six Day War.
Why is Yerushalem at all holey to the f’ing moslames is another issue entirely, mohammad the prophet for profit never visited yerushalem and it isn’t mentioned in ANY of the islamic texts. The only reason the f’ing moslames consider it holey is because they want to displace Jews and Christians from their own holey lands (much like moslames destroy or repurpose Hindu temples across the Indian sub-continent [e.g. Taj Mahal, which was once a Hindu temple]).
