Egyptian researcher Islam Behery said in a January 29, 2023 interview on Sky News Arabia (UAE) that Islam will not survive if it does not undergo reform. He said that Islam currently has “a problem” with modernity, women, politics, banking, medicine, science, human rights, and personal liberties, and that Islamic institutions are currently preaching the same extremist Islamic heritage that gave rise to ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Jama’a Al-Islamiyya, and the Muslim Brotherhood, which leads to terrorism.

This man is 100% clear of Islam’s compatibility with modern times, but he needs to be careful. He might get hurt or killed by the crazy ones.

The article I linked to above is about another journalist — Ibrahim Eissa — who has asserted that Mohammed didn’t fly on a winged mule to Heaven on TV.
The trio of Islam El-Behery, Ibrahim Eissa, and Khaled Montasser have 24/7/365 armed bodyguards, as their views are incompatible with the faith of the vast majority of Moslems in Egyptstan, who tend to go apeshit crazy over the slightest ‘insult’ to their firmly held beliefs.

From the common people; the Egyptian government just taxes the Hell out of them as they rake in serious dough owing to their controversial views which garner millions of viewers on TV!
