Four British students have been suspended from a West Yorkshire secondary school for allegedly “desecrating” a copy of the quran. The above photo shows the entire extent of the so-called quran desecration consisting of a few indentations and bumps on the white pages at the bottom (which appears to be normal wear and tear). What say you?
Even worse, “outraged” Muslims are making threats against one of the students, forcing police to get involved.

I see there is a follow-up to the story that is turning out to be a terrible PR nightmare for the muslim community and the cops. Well-deserved.
BareNakedIslam says
Indeed.
End PC says
The real irony is that the copy of your Qur’an that you Brits better conscientiously care for like a delicate baby is full of vitriol, hatred & will-to-power by Muslims over you. Yet your authorities & many of you bend over to mollify any Muslim anger at essentially nothing. IMO they own you already & they know it.
Yvonne Jarman says
Most Christian Families around the world consider a well worn Bible one that has been well read and well used and considered a ‘family bible’
Smooth Lee says
There are more than a few “indentations and bumps”, metaphorically speaking, in the brains of savage Muslims.
Rex says
I strongly disagree. Most of their brains are smooth and unblemished.
Tom Dundee says
Smooth and Unblemished Brains because they have not been used.

Gee, I would be in trouble. In 1984, when I first read a Koran, I highlighted in yellow many Satanic Verses. Then I purchased three other translation copies to cross check what I read. In 2007 I gave photocopies of those Satanic Verses to customers who did not believe what I told them. And I tossed out of my bookshop an Australian Muslim convert in 2006 that was trying to sell me Islam.
My family knows I have been against Islam since I read the Qur’an in 1984. I met my wife in 1987, and her children melded with mine, all know why I oppose Islam.
Ghulam says
Why are they keeping a Quran with them?
I don’t care what happens to paper and binding material. It’s tragic that so many Muslims lose their mental balance at these so-called desecration.
BareNakedIslam says
Don’t know why they have it or where they got it. I just know if Muslims didn’t lose their minds when a non-Muslim did something like this to a Quran, people probably wouldn’t want to do it. I can’t understand why more Muslims aren’t like you. They’d be much more accepted in the West.
Ghulam says
Many are. You don’t cover them.
I’m talking about the likes of Asra Nomani (she’s American of Indian Muslim origin – you should cover her. She even attended a Bill Maher show. From what I know he’s one of your favorites, isn’t he?),
There’s also Tarek Fatah, but again, fanatical radical Muslims don’t really consider him a Muslim.
There’s Zuhdi Jasser. He’s American too, a medical doctor of Syrian ancestry. A great guy. I love his online interviews. He advocates for the “separation of mosque and state” and is very antagonistic to political Islam.
I think my own views as a Muslim are the closest to Zuhdi Jasser’s — I really love this guy. He’s awesome. You should cover him more.
There’s Seyran Ateş, a Turkish woman. She openly says stuff against the Taliban, is anti-hijab, and against FGM. She’d be totally at home on your blog.
But she’s also a radical feminist, and hates men. So….
None of these characters are anti-Israel or hate Jews at all.
BareNakedIslam says
I know the first 3 very well and have given all of them positive coverage on BNI. I don’t know Ates but will look her up.
allanivarsson says
Ghulam, I like Muslim Dr. Tawfik Hamid author of ‘The Roots of Jihad’ which I read in 2007.
Ghulam says
Hey Allan
Yes I agree. Dr. Tawfik Hamid is another name I should have dropped. I haven’t read that book but I am sure it gives an insider perspective of why Muslim societies are so warped into dogma, and why so many Muslims can’t come out of the 7th century mindset.

Ghulam

I have question regarding your religion. Do you practice the first writting (koran) or the other two. I have Turkish long time friends and the mother practices the first writting only. the rest of the family dont practice it at all, I have to say that the first writting was ok and mohamet even respected his brother in law who was a unbeliever. The bull started were the sharia and the hadither (or how they are called) came into the religion. Maybe im wrong but i see the first writting here and yes it is acceptable because it doesnt want to kill me or tell me what religion i need to follow. Im not religious but i believe in God in my own way, i grew up with a holy man and i know what they are inside.
Ghulam says
Yep I already answered that question previously.
But no problems doing it again. I believe in the original revelation of Quran, but I’m not a literalist.
I tend to follow the overall principles of Islam, or the FIVE PILLARS as that’s sufficient to qualify anyone as a Muslim.
1. Shahada Declaration of belief in the Oneness of Allah and Mohammed being his last Prophet.
2. Salat – Prayers. According to my personal beliefs, it’s not really compulsory for a Muslim to pray 5 times a day.
If you don’t want to pray at all, that’s cool too. Salat is a communion with higher powers. That’s it.
3. Zakat (alms) – Islam forbids usury, so Muslims do not take interest on bank account savings balance. That money has to be donated.
4. Sawm (fasting) – I do keep Ramadan fast, and have been recording my Ramadan observances on BNI website for last 2 years.
5. Hadj (Pilgrimage) – I haven’t done Hadj so far because I have a police record in Saudi Arabia, and risk being arrested in that country.
—
I follow the Hadiths only when they complement the Quran, not contradict it or make it confusing. In general, I don’t read the Hadiths for inspiration – the main Quran is sufficient for that purpose.
Most Muslims DO NOT follow either the Quran or Hadith, but whatever is Sunnah (sacred) according to their local Imams and Maulanas.
There is a growing trend among educated Muslims to eschew the religious ulemas, and become independent thinkers.
But our societies and nations are dominated by the fanatics.
Daniel Erbstoesser says
Yeah and thanks. My comment made it on two sides and yes i saw your answer yesterday. You my friend have a big problem should you go to one of these countries because in their eyes you are about as good as a unbeliever. Good to see that there are people like you out there that try to help the religion to get back to what it was meant to be. Sorry to say you are really a minority but respect for that then i know what problems you all have with that.
BareNakedIslam says
Ghulam, I am going to also check into what Jasper, Nomani, and Fatah have been doing lately and will post more about them. They used to be on FOX News all the time, but not much lately…ever since Rupert Murdoch’s left-leaning son took over.
Thanks for reminding me about them. 😉

Islam claims to have 1.8 billion followers. Why don’t more Muslims protest the horrific behavior, murders, beheadings, riots, etc., of their co-religionists, especially if they’re in Western nations? I put the full blame on THEM. And as for how they mass murdered Jews and gave HELP to Hitler with ideas on how to kill Jews – remember the ‘Mufti of Jerusalem’ is unforgivable! Hitlers ideas of genocide of Jews, CAME from Islam! And to do that to Jews that were just coming out of the camps in Nazi Germany, to their own country, is sickening. But Islam, still to this day denies Jews their right for a state, even though it’s much smaller than Israel. Much of Israel was given to Jordan! And what about the elimination of the Armenians, that Turkey will not even admit to causing genocide, and Turkey will NOT EVEN PERMIT a documentary on it! And Lebanon. Here is an example of real ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED NATION. Lebanon had to be carved out of the Middle East because Islam was murdering the Christians! Even today, the real Lebanese cannot live a life without Islamic Terror. And the slavery of the Africans, the very people who perpetuated slavery! And gay people. Do they deserve rights and live? According to Islam NO. And how can we forget the terror in every single nation across the world? We remember, and there is going to be some great blowback across the world against Islam. There is no way Islam can be called a Religion of Peace. Maybe IslamoNazis, or Religion of Pieces, but clearly NOT PEACE!
allanivarsson says
BNI Agreed we need more Muslims like Ghulam.
BareNakedIslam says
Yes, a whole lot more. 👍
Ghulam says
That’s very encouraging to have.
I am sure a lot of Muslims secretly read your blog. So I am happy to help where I can.
ZIRKSTY (@ZIRKSTY) says
This took place in my home city. From what I can gather the book was brought into the school as a dare by an autistic pupil. He has received a number of death threats.According to the head teacher there was a small tear to the cover and smears of dirt on some of the pages. The head teacher also said their actions did not treat the quran with the respect it should have,so the 4 pupils involved have been suspended.Police are liasing with the school.
BareNakedIslam says
Zirksty, how long are they suspended for? Just curious, would they have been suspended if they had done the same thing to a Bible?
ZIRKSTY (@ZIRKSTY) says
I have no information yet on the length of the suspensions. If it had been a bible I doubt if anything would have been done.We have an ever growing muslim population and they are now getting elected onto the council. and pushing their agendas.
BareNakedIslam says
That’s always a bad thing for any town.
Daniel Erbstoesser says
Bonnie those kids will never see the inside of this school again because the invader will not let them in peace, ever again. The kids must leave the town or better the country and that is no assurance that they stay alive. Thats how the religion of freedom works, ask Guhlam, he can tell you what i mean here.
BareNakedIslam says
If parents won’t fight back, on behalf of their kids, they are doomed.
Ghulam says
Daniel
Most street punks and thugs SCRAM when you show no fear.
Always look them in the eye, and give a subtle hint that you can’t wait to kill them either.
Unfortunately I don’t get to practice those survival skills here in Singapore.
It’s such a crime-free place that if someone jumps the red light, you’ll hear it in local news.
Thanks to living in Singapore, I’m now way too trusting of strangers and as much at ease with them as I’d be next to family and relatives.
I forget that’s not how the world works.
Regards
Ghulam
Daniel Erbstoesser says
100% right and yes the scram and yes i have no fear then all they can do is wip my ass or kill me but the price will be very high. The problem is that you wont see them alone here no they go in big groups and let me tell you you have no chance and that i can say personally. I dont give an inch and if you wup me today i wup you tomorrow or the day after but you will have to wup me every single day or you kill me. That is how i am i dont give up (ever) and i dont sit quiet like a good dog. I grew up in new york and detroit and i served so yes i know the business and yes i can look a man in the eye while taking his life and that i have done more times than i can remember.
allanivarsson says
Ghulam, agreed.
VMS says
Why is a public school using a. Koran?
BareNakedIslam says
I don’t think they are using it. It might have been in the library or maybe a student brought it in.

Why did the west end of Europe need to be the modern equivalent of the Tower of Babel. This used to be a good place to live in. It isn’t anymore. War and degeneration has a future.
Booidickaw says
In England and Wales marriages age rises from 16 to 18 today under new law which aims to protect children from forced weddings including non-legally binding ‘traditional’ ceremonies. British traditions are being ripped away day by day as we are replaced, how much more can we take, this is our country. How can the European governments be so incredibly stupid and degenerate.
BareNakedIslam says
Glad to hear that.
