GERMANY: Two Muslim migrants arrested after throwing man under train for refusing to give them a cigarette.
REMIX News (h/t Marvin W) Two foreign nationals of Algerian and Tunisian origin were arrested at a railway station last Wednesday evening after reportedly pushing a man onto the train tracks who refused to give them a cigarette. The incident occurred at the central train station in Pforzheim, a town in southwestern Germany, where a 49-year-old man was standing on the platform.
The PZ News outlet reported how the victim was approached by two men, a 33-year-old Algerian and a 31-year-old Tunisian national, both of whom demanded a cigarette. When the man refused, he was assaulted by the two men and pushed from the station platform, falling under a waiting train.
As the victim attempted to climb back onto the platform, he was assaulted a second time by his attackers. Bystanders witnessed the attack and attempted unsuccessfully to intervene. Police were alerted to the incident and sought to apprehend the assailants, one of whom attempted to flee the scene.
Both were eventually apprehended by state police and handed over to federal authorities. They are understood to have been charged with dangerous bodily harm and remain in custody.
The potentially deadly act of pushing victims onto train tracks is a growing trend in Germany and has previously been proven to be disproportionately associated with foreign nationals..
Germany’s state-owned Deutsche Welle broadcaster reported last year that of the 65 most recent reports of incidents involving people being thrown onto railway tracks, 38 involved suspects who were not German nationals.
GERMANY: African migrant who killed 8-year-old child by pushing him in front of train in Frankfurt won’t go to prison.
REMIX News An Eritrean migrant who pushed a woman and a child at Frankfurt Central Station in front of an arriving train last year will not serve a prison sentence because he has psychiatric issues, but one of his victim’s believes the man knew exactly what he was doing.
The Eritrean man, 41-year-old Habte Araya, who was once used in a 2017 campaign to promote “successful integration” by the Swiss Workers’ Relief Agency, apologized for his actions in court through his lawyer but was not in attendance.
In July of 2018, Araya pushed a 40-year-old mother and her 8-year-old son on the tracks. The mother was only barely managed to escape from the incoming ICE express train during the 2018 incident, but her son was hit and killed before she could save him.
Araya, a father of three, not only pushed both victims on the track, but after he was done, he also targeted 78-year-old former school teacher Gerlinde S. by trying unsuccessfully to also push her on the tracks.
Although Araya has been deemed to have a psychiatric illness, Gerlinde S. told German news outlet Bild, “I find it difficult to accept that. I have the impression that this act was very planned. The perpetrator picked out victims who were lightweight. And what is particularly noticeable is how the escape was planned. He fled out of town and must have picked out platform 7 because it is very easy to escape from there. He must also have chosen a good time to be able to flee across the tracks. The tracks otherwise could also have been used by trains.”
GERMANY: Syrian Muslim national arrested for throwing school girl onto train tracks. The incident is one of many in a worrying trend of train track attacks disproportionately involving Muslim migrants.
REMIX News A 27-year-old Syrian Muslim national has been arrested after reportedly throwing a teenage girl onto the train tracks at a railway station in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 8, shortly after 5:15 p.m. at the Altena train station in the Märkisches Kreis district.
The 16-year-old schoolgirl disembarked a regional express train traveling to Dortmund and made her way across the platform where she was apprehended by the suspect.
“Suddenly a young man ran after her, grabbed her from behind, and threw her over the edge of the platform onto platform 1 in front of the stunned fellow passengers,” according to a police report. “Then he jumped after himself and held the young girl firmly on the tracks.”
The Syrian national reportedly climbed back onto the platform and proceeded to board his train.
Multiple eyewitnesses got involved in the incident, with railway employees calling for the driver to halt the train and lock in the suspect, while fellow passengers called the authorities and jumped onto the tracks to assist the girl.
The perpetrator and victim did not know each other and he has subsequently been sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation
GERMANY: Nigerian Muslim pushes woman onto railway tracks while fleeing inspectors.
REMIX News A Nigerian man caught traveling as a fare-dodger in Frankfurt pushed a 60-year-old woman onto the railway tracks and seriously injured her while trying to flee inspectors, the Junge Freiheit reported. The victim survived the attack, as no train was arriving at that moment.
The 49-year-old African was spotted by two controllers on the S-Bahn traveling from Wiesbaden to Hanau without a valid ticket. They asked him to leave the train at Frankfurt Airport Station. While he was getting off, according to the police, he suddenly pushed one of the controllers aside and fled across the platform.
There he pushed a woman so hard that she fell headfirst onto the tracks. The victim was unconscious for a while, but, fortunately, the two inspectors managed to quickly lift her up and called an ambulance.
GERMANY: Afghan Muslim migrant tried dragging 12-year-old girl in front of moving train.
REMIX News After a 30-year-old Afghan male attacked a 12-year-old girl by trying to push her in front of a moving train, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Alternative for Germany (AfD) state chief Leif-Erik Holm is calling for tougher immigration laws.
The Afghan allegedly tried to drag the child in front of a moving freight train at the train station in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state capital Schwerin.
“How is it possible that such a violent and unscrupulous Afghan walks freely through Schwerin? Who will take the political responsibility for such acts?“ Holm asked when talking to Junge Freiheit. “No more cameras or more police officers help against such violence, the only thing that helps here is tightening immigration laws. We already have enough of our own crime in the country, we don’t have to import additional ones.“
According to the Schweriner Volkszeitung, the 12-year-old was sitting with her 13-year-old friend in the train station when the Afghan approached and spoke to the two girls. They didn’t understand him because of his accent and continued talking to each other. While a freight train rolled through the station, the man grabbed the 12-year-old without warning and tried to drag her to the tracks. Shortly before this, her friend was reportedly kicking the attacker in the leg and pulling the victim back.
Bystanders are said to have heard the girls’ cries for help but did nothing, reported the newspaper. When the train left the station, the man allegedly let go of the girl after his murder attempt was unsuccessful, saying, “Everything is fine, nothing happened.” He then fled over the tracks.
They’re so full of hatred against the host population they make up for it by attacking the most volnerable members – young girls and oolder people that is.
