MICHIGAN: Muslim majority city of Hamtramck has banned LGBTQ Pride flags from all public spaces.
Daily Mail (h/t Marvin W) The Hamtramck City Council meeting took a turn when a lesbian wearing a clown nose made a speech mocking the council and its majority-Muslim population before kissing a woman standing next to her (photo below) Tuesday night.
‘Sure, many Hamtramck residents have fled countries where being gay is a death sentence, but nothing says we have to make it ‘comforting’ and ‘welcoming’ here,’ the woman sarcastically said on Tuesday night. ‘While we can’t legally discriminate against LGBTQ people in the United States anymore, the City of Hamtramck can say, ‘Ew, no, be proud somewhere else.”
The meeting was so well attended people were listening from the hallways as council members said the Pride flag clashed with the beliefs of some members of their faith.
The two women kissing were followed up by Dearborn activist Hassan Aoun, who spoke passionately against the Pride flag on public property.
‘I am a Lebanese person and I support the American flag, not the Lebanese flag. We are not going to sit here and tolerate you guys coming and saying, ‘Oh it’s Pride Month. You’re gay? No problem.’ Don’t sit here and throw it down kids’ throat, my throat, or anybody’s throat.’
Businesses and residents in the Detroit suburb aren´t prohibited from displaying a Pride flag on their own property.
‘You guys are welcome,’ council member Nayeem Choudhury said. ‘(But) why do you have to have the flag shown on government property to be represented? You´re already represented. We already know who you are.’ ‘We want to respect the religious rights of our citizens,’ Choudhury said.
The council voted unanimously to display only five flags, including the American flag, the Michigan flag and one that represents the native countries of immigrant residents.
Hamtramck, population 27,000, is an enclave surrounded by Detroit. More than 40 percent of residents were born in other countries, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, and a significant share are of Yemeni or Bangladeshi descent.
Mayor Amer Ghalib made the flag a campaign issue when then-Mayor Karen Majewski flew one on city property in 2021.

Now that the abortion craze is somewhat diminished by Dobbs, the lib/commies are doing the next best thing by chopping off the breasts of girls and castrating little boys. The lib/commies have unleashed a litany of horror with this “gender affirming care.”

Their numbers are increasing, a bit here and a bit there. I am seeing many videos of Muslims protesting events related to Pride being forced down their throats in their neighborhoods and in school curricula. For now, we are not winning as we need to be in greater numbers. The battle continues.

I always thought Dearbornistan had a Muslim majority. After all, they’ve been here since Jew-hating Henry Food flooded his plants with middle East Muslims.
The Lebanese person is making fine use of the prophetic concept of taqqia and kitman when he says that he supports the US flag, and NOT the Lebanese one! Why then would they want to display the flags of the native countries of their immigrant citizens on Government property? Thought they fled from the place as so many bats out of hell! And that Chawdury dude who says that the LGBTQ people are welcome in his town! Taqqia and kitman again. In any case, I support Hamtramck’s plan to ban the LGBTQ flag on Government property, though I know that these guys are doing it for their own prophetic reasons. Heck, I am sure that they would be glad to throw these people off buildings, for this too is a prophetic thing to do!
I understand some women are so unappealing that sinning against nature is the only way they can get some. Although they could have lost some weight and worked on their appearance….[did I get my subjunctives right?]
Perhaps they should try their *kiss stunt in Saudi Arabia after Friday prayers.
