Years ago, around 1999, I lived in Penang Malaysia and the house next door was owned by an Indian guy, a Lawyer, who lived alone with his lovely large German Shepard Dog called King and King would often stay out in the front garden and greet anybody passing by who wanted to pat him on the head, including me, but soon some muslim kids from the local madrassa would come by and spit at him, throw small stones at him and shake the wire gate to make King freak out and bark.
One day somehow the gate got opened and King came out and started running after these kids who were now scared shitless and running as fast as they could to get away from King and, according to these punks, King bit one of then on the ankle.
The punks told their parents who in turn told the Iman at the mosque who in turn told the Police who in turn appeared in front of Joti, the India fellow, and took King away never to be seen again and Joti was beside himself, crying like only a man can cry after losing his best friend in the whole wide world.
Nobody thought of discipline for the kids…

I knew a guy from my ACT for America chapter, he worked for some high tech company, maybe a hard drive manufacturer that had facilities in Malaysia (spit). He told me about the bumpitra laws and how they discriminated against non-muslims in things like employment and university enrollments.
